	Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, created by an Act of Parliament in 1984, is an independent, not-for-profit think-tank on Canada's relations with Asia. 	The Canadian Institute of International Affairs "The mandate of the Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA) is to promote a deeper understanding of international affairs and of Canada's role in a changing world by providing members with a non-partisan, nation-wide forum for informed discussion, analysis and debate. 	The Caledon Institute on Social Policy "is a social policy think tank. Established in 1992, the Caledon Institute of Social Policy is a private, non-profit organization with charitable status. Caledon’s work deals with poverty and other social and economic inequalities, and covers a broad range of social policy areas including income security (e.g., pensions, welfare, child benefits, Employment Insurance, benefits for Canadians with disabilities), taxation, social spending, employment development services, social services and health."
	The Canada West Foundation"is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit public policy research institute dedicated to introducing western perspectives into current Canadian policy debates through: the production and dissemination of objective research to serve as a catalyst for informed public debate; and initiatives for active citizen education and engagement in the Canadian public policy process. Since 1971, Canada West Foundation has provided citizens and policy makers with non-partisan, non-ideological research on a wide range of issues of critical importance to western Canadians."

	Canadian Institute for Research on Regional Development "The Canadian Institute for Research on Regional Development's goals are twofold: 1. To act as a catalyst in promoting informed public debate on regional development issues; 2. To make available to all interested parties objective information and data pertaining to the study of regional development."
	Centre for International Governance Innovation ( CIGI ) " is a Canadian-based international research institution founded to address some of the world's most pressing governance challenges. CIGI strives to find and develop ideas for global change by studying, advising and networking with scholars, practitioners and governments on the character and desired reforms of multilateral governance. Through conferences, publications, public events and technology CIGI aims to raise the Canadian domestic capacity to effect change in public policy in Canada and around the world."
	Conference Board of Canada "The Conference Board of Canada is the foremost independent, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada. We help build leadership capacity for a better Canada by creating and sharing insights on economic trends, public policy issues, and organizational performance."
	The Fraser Institute "The Fraser Institute has been changing the way people think about government and the role of markets for over 25 years. Today, government committees, MPs, the media, and think tanks around the world turn to the Institute for their innovative ideas and solutions. In raising the level of understanding about economic and social policy, the Institute's ideas contribute directly to the economic well-being of individual Canadians."
	Institute for Policy Analysis" at the University of Toronto has two research objectives: (i) to further scholarly research in applied economics and related disciplines with the goal of enhancing policy analysis, and; (ii) to disseminate these findings to academics, policy-makers and practitioners."

	International Development Research Centre "is a public corporation created by the Canadian government to help communities in the developing world find solutions to social, economic, and environmental problems through research."
	The Montreal Economic Institute (MEI) is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan research and educational institute. It endeavours to promote an economic approach to the study of public policy issues."
	The Policy Research Initiative The Policy Research Initiative conducts research in support of the Government of Canada's medium term agenda. Its core mandate is to advance research on emerging horizontal issues, and to ensure the effective transfer of acquired knowledge to policy-makers.
