Description-

RAND's Intelligence Policy Center is seeking highly motivated Project Associates to work on projects related to intelligence community workforce issues as members of multi-disciplinary research teams addressing complex intelligence policy problems. Project Associates are expected to perform research support tasks under supervision of RAND researchers. They may also be asked to provide occasional direct support to sponsoring organizations for limited periods of time to assist with preparation of budget materials and reports. Projects involve a range of activities from analysis of manpower data, support to policy development and direct support to workforce planning, programming and budgeting activities. Project Associates may also have responsibilities for managing research project operations, including preparing and monitoring budgets, coordinating teams of researchers, managing project support staff, organizing conferences, coordinating IRB approvals, and overseeing the production of final reports.

Educational requirements:

MA/MS degree preferred, and at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Applicants with a BA/BS in technical field such as economics, public policy, sociology or other field with strong empirical and/or modeling skills are preferred.

Security Clearances:

Candidates must have active U.S. government security clearance. Counter-Intelligence or lifestyle polygraph required.

Experience required:

3-5 years of research and analysis experience in the Intelligence Community or in a research-oriented organization. Experience related to workforce and/or budgeting activities preferred.

Specific technical skills required/preferred:

Preference given to applicants with degrees in economics, public policy, sociology, operations research, political science, particularly from highly selective colleges and research-oriented universities.

Minimum experience required: 3 years
