The Special Assistant performs important administrative and clerical tasks for the Chairman and for the Center generally. The Special Assistant answers the main phone line, books appointments, trips, and speaking engagements for the Chairman, makes travel and travel-related arrangements, and prepares daily itineraries and trip itineraries. The Special Assistant prepares and sends correspondence and memoranda, opens and sorts mail, handles incoming meeting requests and invoices, and maintains the office files. The Special Assistant also assists in event planning, conference arrangements, and short-term research projects.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
Experience:
Experience with or willingness to learn: scheduling, travel booking, and other office administrative tasks listed above. Public policy experience in Washington is a plus. Three years or more of work experience is desired.
