The Department of Social Policy at the LSE is a world leader in the field of social policy with an international reputation for excellence. It is seeking to appoint two outstanding, ambitious individuals as at senior lecturer or lecturer level to teach on its undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of general social policy.
Requirements
Candidates should have a doctorate (or be very near to completion) and/or significant publications in the field.
Any teaching and research specialism will be considered, but applicants must be able and prepared to teach on our general social policy courses. Research interests in any of the department’s core areas would be welcome (including Disadvantage and Social Policy; Families and Children; Health and Social Care; Population; Criminal Justice; and Development). Research interests in European social policy and welfare systems, coupled with both qualitative and quantitative methods would be highly desirable.
